L'Anastasimatarion est le livre des Vêpres et Matines de la Résurrection. On l'appelle également Octoèque (Octoïchos) parce qu'il est basé sur un cycle de huit semaines durant lesquelles on chante selon les huit modes principaux de la musique byzantine.
Dans chaque mode le texte des stichères est différent. La partie enregistrée ici, sans ison, correspond à la première partie chantée des Vêpres dans le premier mode "eso" (sur le Ré). Parfois, elle est précédée par le chant solennel des derniers versets du psaume 103 les "Anixantaria".

The Anastasimatarion is the book of Vespers and Matines of the Resurrection. It is also called Octoèque in French (Octoïchos) because it is based on a round of eight weeks during which we sings according to the eight main modes of Byzantine music.
In each mode the text of stichères is different. The hymns recorded here, without ison, correspond to the first part of Vespers, sung in the first mode "eso" (on the Ré).

Cet enregistrement sans prétention a pour seul but d'aider ceux qui veulent s'approcher de la notation byzantine et sont encore inexpérimentés, spécialement mes stagiaires et tous ceux qui y trouveront un intérêt pour leurs recherches.
Le livre de l'Anastasimatarion de Petrou Lambadariou et Ioannou Protopsaltou correspond à l'édition du Patriarcat de Constantinople (1890), cette même édition a été reprise avec quelques petites variantes dans l'Anastasimatarion de la confrérie Zoï.

This recording is only intended to help those who want to get the Byzantine rating and are still inexperienced, especially my students and all those who will find in it an interest in their research. The book of the Anastasimatarion of Petros Lambadarios and Ioannis Protopsaltis corresponds to the edition of the Patriarchate of Constantinople (1890), this same edition has been resumed with some small variations in the Anastasimatarion of the brotherhood Zoï.

Cette édition qui porte la marque du génie et de la foi profonde de Priggou, présente l'immense avantage d'offrir pour l'interprétation musicale des repères rythmiques très fiables et convaincants, et également une indication précise des isons. Comme nous le savons, le placement des isons n'est pas une chose simple ! Cette édition a été réalisée par Apostoliki Diakonia (Athènes) et propose également deux CDs avec le livre avec des extraits originaux de Konstandinou Priggou.
